A Miracle for Oluś: A Fight for Life and Hope

The news arrived like a ray of hope, piercing through the darkness that had surrounded our family for so long. With trembling hands and tears in our eyes, we learned that our son, Oluś, is clean. His bones are free of the malignancy that had plagued him for so long. The shadow that once loomed over his young life has disappeared. There is no trace left of the cancer that once seemed unstoppable.

This moment, this news, is a miracle. After months of fear, uncertainty, and countless prayers, we now feel a sense of relief, a flicker of hope that we haven’t allowed ourselves to feel in a long time. This is the best possible news, especially so close to Christmas. It means that, for now, Oluś’s battle is at a turning point. We are cautiously optimistic, and for the first time in a long while, we are allowing ourselves to be hopeful—hopeful that our son will have the chance at a future that we once feared might be stolen away.

But the journey is far from over.

Oluś, our seven-year-old son, has been fighting neuroblastoma, stage IV, one of the most aggressive and severe forms of cancer. His diagnosis shattered our world, replacing thoughts of school supplies and childhood joy with endless hospital visits, treatments, tests, and chemotherapy. We had to watch helplessly as our once joyful, playful boy fought this relentless disease, all while his younger sister, just four years old, waited at home, asking when her brother would return to play with her again. She couldn’t understand why he was fighting for his life, and our hearts ached knowing she couldn’t comprehend the magnitude of the struggle.

While Oluś’s battle continues, there is a glimmer of hope. Recent tests show that his tumor has shrunk slightly. His body is responding to chemotherapy, and with each passing day, we feel a little more hopeful, a little more certain that we are on the right path. But the fight is far from over. Oluś’s immune system is still weak, and the tumor’s persistence means we must stay vigilant.

As parents, we will do everything within our power to give our son the chance he deserves, but the cost of this fight is overwhelming. Not only do we need funds for ongoing treatments and medications, but there is also a vaccine against recurrence that is not covered by insurance and is unavailable in Poland. We need funds for travel and medical expenses that are beyond our means. Every day that passes without the necessary funds is another day that the disease could take advantage of the small window of progress Oluś has made.

This is why we are turning to you, our community, for help. We know that, with your support, we can give Oluś the best possible chance to defeat this devastating disease. Every donation, every prayer, and every word of encouragement counts. Your support will help provide him with the necessary treatment, therapies, and medical care that could make all the difference in his fight for life.

Our son has already shown incredible resilience, bravery, and strength. His will to survive has inspired us every single day, even as we watched him suffer. But we cannot do this alone. We need your help to make sure that Oluś has everything he needs to continue fighting. Nothing is more precious to us than his life, and we will fight with everything we have to ensure he can live the life he deserves.

Please, help us make this miracle a reality. Help us give our son the future he deserves—a future where he can play, laugh, and grow, just like any other child.

Thank you from the depths of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and support. We believe that with your help, we can defeat cancer and give Oluś the life he was always meant to have.
